32 QUEENS RECOGNIZED FOR HISTORICAL RESTORATION COMMITMENT

The third Monday in February is Heritage Day in St. John's during which the City honors individuals and businesses for what Councillor Sandy Hickman described as "rehabilitating, restoring and celebrating our rich built heritage."

Sponsored in part by the Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador and Newfoundland Historic Trust, two properties received Heritage Awards in 2015 for outstanding restorative efforts, one of which was 32 Queens Road Executive Suites for it's extensive revival over the past six years.

"As a committee, we could think of no day more appropriate than Heritage Day to honor residents who have gone the extra mile to ensure our Heritage Area remains vibrant and creative," said Heritage Advisory Committee co-chair, Councillor Dave Lane.

Owner Morris Reid received the award from Mayor Dennis O'Keefe and co-chair of the City’s Heritage Advisory Committee, Councillor Sandy Hickman, courtesy of the City of St. John's.
